The motor-driven diaphragm metering pump Makro TZMb because of its modular design is excellently suited to being adapted to the performance requirements of the particular application. A great variety of options is available for its operation, either one or two liquid ends and one or several add-on pumps which the customer can fit at a later stage.
A multi-layer safety diaphragm is the core of the liquid end. The large surface steel core is vulcanised in a chemical and temperature-resistent EPDM material and reinforced with polyamide fibre additionally.
The diaphragm is double-faced and coated with PTFE foil on the gear and work sides. This ensures that even in case of diaphragm rupture no leakage to the exterior occurrs. In case of diaphragm rupture, the dosing medium reaches the area between the diaphragm layers and, thanks to the special sensor area of the diaphragm, there, an alarm is activated. This concept of diaphragm sensing grants reliable dosing even in critical operation modes.
Advantages
-
Higher diaphragm lifetime, lower maintenance costs, higher process safety: integrated alarm signal on diaphragm rupture with excess pressure recognition, even if diaphragm rupture occurs, there is no leakage of the fluid thanks to the latest diaphragm technology.
-
High processing quality: Reproducibility of dosage better than ±2 %
-
Broad field of application, easily adapted even by the customer because of its modular design.
Areas of application
- The addition of chemicals based on measured values, e.g. acid and alkali dosing for pH neutralisation in wastewater treatment
- Dosing of treatment agents in industrial production technology
- Time-controlled dosing of chemicals for ion exchange regeneration
Features
- Performance range for the single pump: 260 – 2,100 l/h, 12 – 4 bar
- Supplied as a single or dual-headed version
- Push-pull operation of the liquid ends with dual head designs
- Can be easily upgraded to a triple pump and with reduced back pressure to more pumps even at the customer’s premises
- Independent of the main metering pump , other stroke counts can be achieved with the add-on pumps, as each TZ add-on pump has its own reducing gear
- Standard drive: dual wound three-phase motor 230/400 V, 50/60 Hz, 0.75 kW, enclosure class rated IP 55 (optional ATEX-T3/T4), insulation class F
- Worm gear in 5 optional reduction ratios as well as an adjustable crank drive via a gyrating cylinder
- Stroke length: 0 - 10 mm, can be set for 0.5% precision
- Stroke length setting: manual (optional with actuator or variable speed drive)
- Gear housing: cast iron, resistant to seawater, acrylic resin lacquer finish
- Liquid end materials: Polypropylene, PVC, PTFE with carbon, stainless steel 1.4571
- Patented multilayer diaphragm, even with diaphragm rupture, hydraulic fluid and dosing chemical remain separated
- Reproducibility of dosing better under defined conditions and correct installation ± 2 % (stroke length 30-100%)
- Integrated alarm signal with diaphragm rupture and excess pressure recognition
- Suction lift varies with density and viscosity of the medium as well as the connecting pipework and the number of strokes
