The reward for continuous innovation work: ProMinent GmbH from Heidelberg has once again been honoured with the TOP 100 seal. This is the fourth time that the family-run company has been recognised as one of the most innovative medium-sized companies in Germany.

The award ceremony will take place on 26 June 2026 as part of the Englisch SME Summit at the Heidelberg Congress Center. Christian Wulff, mentor of the competition and former German President, will personally congratulate ProMinent GmbH on the award.

ProMinent, a leading global manufacturer of metering, measuring and control technology, impressed the jury with its systematic and sustainable approach to innovation. The company develops solutions for water treatment and water disinfection in various fields of application. Research, development and application are closely interlinked.

"Our innovative strength is based on continuous development work. The renewed TOP 100 award underlines the fact that we are successfully implementing technological development, digitalisation and sustainability in a practical way," says Dr Dieter Binz, conductor of development at ProMinent.

This focus is visible in various fields of application. ProMinent is continuously developing new solutions for the safe monitoring of water quality, for example in areas where hygiene, health and operational safety are particularly important. At the same time, the company is driving forward the digitalisation of its measuring, control and Metering Systems: systems can now be digitally networked and monitored and controlled remotely, which increases efficiency and operational safety.

These innovations also contribute to sustainability and environmental protection: they help to conserve water resources, reduce the use of chemicals and make industrial processes more environmentally friendly.

The award is based on a scientific selection process led by Professor Dr Nikolaus Franke from the Vienna University of Economics and Business. More than 100 criteria are assessed in five categories - from innovation management and processes to market success.
