ProMinent GmbH is expanding its portfolio in the field of swimming pool measurement technology with an innovative product: the DULCOMETER AirGuard is the first measuring system on the market that continuously monitors the concentration of trichloramine in the air of indoor swimming pools in real time. At the same time, it ensures greater safety for swimmers and swimming pool staff by triggering the supply of fresh air.

ProMinent GmbH is expanding its portfolio in the field of swimming pool measurement technology with an innovative product: the DULCOMETER AirGuard is the first measuring system on the market that continuously monitors the concentration of trichloramine in the air of indoor swimming pools in real time. At the same time, it ensures greater safety for swimmers and swimming pool staff by triggering the supply of fresh air.

The DULCOMETER AirGuard is the only measuring system available on the market that continuously and accurately measures trichloramine in the air. The measured value provides valuable information about air quality and potential hazards for swimmers and staff.

Trichloramine is produced by the reaction of chlorine with organic substances such as sweat, urine or skin particles and is largely responsible for the typical chlorine smell and possible irritation of the respiratory tract, eyes and skin. Swimmers and staff are particularly affected, as the highest concentrations occur directly above the water surface. The DULCOMETER AirGuard measures trichloramine in the range from 0.00 to 2.00 mg/m³, enabling compliance with country-specific air quality limits in indoor swimming pools. The autonomous analysis system replaces laboratory work that previously had to be carried out with hand-held measuring devices and manual tests.

The system reacts automatically to increased concentrations and can communicate with higher-level control systems via Modbus RTU, relays and a measured value output, for example to adjust the fresh air supply. In addition, a USB port behind the front panel allows data logger files to be downloaded and software updates to be carried out.

Another advantage is its flexible design: the DULCOMETER AirGuard is available as both a permanently installed solution and a portable measuring station and can be easily integrated into existing systems. In combination with other ProMinent products such as the measuring and control system DULCOMARIN 3, the controller DULCOPOOL Pro and the DULCODES MP UV system, it forms a comprehensive system for ensuring water and air quality in public swimming pools.
