The five-star Relais & Châteaux SPA Hotel Jagdhof in Neustift near Innsbruck is located in the middle of the fascinating Tyrolean mountains. Noble living comfort in 70 spacious rooms, two sun terraces and a large natural garden form the outer framework of the special wellness offer. Hotel guests are also pampered with culinary delights from the gourmet kitchen and the exquisite wine cellar.
The absolute highlight at the Hotel Jagdhof is the 3,000 square metre spa area on two levels. The jSpa offers exceptional opportunities for individual regeneration in its Vital World with 20 different facilities as well as the holistic treatments.
The outdoor pool and the outdoor Jacuzzi are heated all year round. The indoor area offers further pools and even a fountain of youth with underwater music. The modernisation of the wellness area was carried out at the end of 2010. The focus was on ensuring consistently excellent water quality as well as the central control and monitoring of the numerous facilities.

CAN bus instead of cable tangle
Before the modernisation, the swimming pools and whirlpools in the spa area were each equipped with individual controllers for the dosing of chlorine and the regulation of the pH value. With the CAN bus technology of the powerful and worldwide widely used DULCOMARIN® II measuring and control device, the installation was reduced to only one bus cable. This is because all connected ProMinent components, such as sensors, are automatically recognised by the central unit. With this single bus cable of just under 100 metres in length, all 15 CAN modules in the Hotel Jagdhof were networked with each other. This saved the normally considerable cabling effort and thus a lot of time and costs - a significant advantage especially in the hotel sector.
Comfort through networking
The data of the relevant parameters pH value, temperature and chlorine from all four pools are now transmitted to the central unit and monitored by it. With the DULCOMARIN® II, up to 16 subsystems, each with 10 measured parameters, can be controlled in swimming pools. The built-in data logger with screen recorder, which enables the visualisation of current and historical measurement data directly on the controller, is also very popular with those responsible in the Tyrolean top hotel. It considerably facilitates the prompt adjustment and evaluation of the measurement parameters. Discreetly in the background, the installed ProMinent technology thus ensures smooth operation in the spa area.
