ProMinent at interbad 2016: New UV system – reliable disinfection without the use of chemicals

August 2016

ProMinent has further developed its tried-and-tested UV systems and at interbad in Stuttgart on 27 - 30 September 2016, at stand D70 in Hall 3, it will be showcasing the result: the Dulcodes MP, designed for a flow of up to 569 m3/h. The system is more compact than its predecessor and offers more functionality and efficient breakdown of combined chlorine.

The Dulcodes MP comes with powerful medium-pressure lamps for optimum use of energy and a manual stage switch for adaptation to the capacity requirement. It therefore ensures efficient photochemical breakdown of combined chlorine in bathing water. A UVC sensor with long-term stability monitors the lamp output, dirt on the lamp protection tube and changes in water quality. Either a manual or an automatic wiper system effectively removes deposits from the lamp protection tube.

Various installation options

Because it can be installed in any position, the extremely compact inline system is very quick and easy to install and can be swiftly retrofitted in existing systems. The intelligent reactor concept does not allow any UV radiation to escape. So the Dulcodes MP can even be fitted directly in plastic pipework. The robust and conventional ballast technology remains completely unaffected by even adverse warm and humid conditions or air enriched with aggressive chemicals in plant rooms.

Convincing benefits

The new Comfort controller, comprising numerous analogue and digital interfaces and connectors, can be easily integrated into superordinate control technology. As an added benefit, the system can be serviced quickly and conveniently from one side. However, the most important feature of the system remains its ability to very efficiently break down combined chlorine, reliably preventing the typical, unpleasant odour associated with swimming pools and any eye, nose or skin irritations!
